The book has a bit about knitting history, Knitting basics, Knitting stitch patterns, and knit project patterns. It also shows some special knitting techniques such as cables, Entrelac, Intaria, Twined, and Ouroborus. The stitch patterns each have a photo of the completed swatch. I got this book mostly for the stitch patterns and special techniques. I wished the stitch patterns had knitting charts for all the patterns and not just the cabled ones, but other than that I find the book very informative.
