Green cloth, gilt lettrng (very slight faint tidemark at foot of spine), w/ d.j. photo cover art of Grand Coulee dam (faint tidemark at foot of spine), still G/G copy, signed by author on half-title. First edition, signed, of this uncommon Murray Morgan title chronicling events in March, 1952 when the Grand Coulee dam was nearly destroyed by inspection and operations error, flooding the interior of the dam, affecting dam controls, and nearly plunging the Pacific Northwest into darkness through blackout. Eventually Grand Coulee workmen were able to pump water from the flooded turbine pits, drain and flush the bearings, and replace the oil restoring full service.
