Illustrated by E. M. Ashe. Very Good. David Graham Phillips (1867-1911) was an American novelist and muckraking journalist. Published in May 1906--this copy probably is a first edition. Bound in a gray cloth decorated cover with a vine and heart motife on the cover with the cover and spine title in green. A light pink vertical line along edge of rear cover near the spine and the top edge of the spine is wrinkled. Contains illustrations by E. M. Ashe. This copy is leaning slightly and the rear inner hinge is cracked. This is a pretty title in the original edition which is set in New York in about 1900.; B&W Illustrations; 12mo 7"-7½" tall; 214 pages.
