It's a stately, somber soundtrack, with long stretches of quiet, evocative sections that clearly work better when accompanied with visuals. Unfortunately, that's true for much of The Hunley -- although it's intriguing, there are no memorable themes or atmosphere that makes it a rewarding stand-alone entity. That's not to say it's bad work, since Edelman does handle the shifting emotional tones quite well.
