I would really give it 3.75 stars. I would have given it 4 stars except the ending baffled me a little bit. Having said that, I found the book beautifully written with a story line that was a change from the other Mid-Eastern fiction I've been reading. The writer gives a great insight into the main character and his struggles to find himself in his new country. The best way I can describe this book is it felt like I was reading a story that would make the a wonderful independant film.
