The jacket has one 1" closed edge tear along with showing some light wear / rubbing at the head / heel of spine and tips of corners. Bound in dark burgundy cloth with gilt type face on the spine. This copy is smyth sewn. Smyth sewing is a method of bookbinding where groups of folded pages (referred to as signatures) are stitched together using binder thread.
