I hesitate to recommend this book for fear of driving the prices up. For the owner of a classic sports car from the 50's through the 70's it's gold. Some may find the sections on theory a bit heavy, but he goes on to give examples to clear things up. One can find gems, explicit or hidden on porting or carburation, both SU and Webber and also exhaust, allowing those with wrenching ability to jump way ahead of their current knowledge. If you only found one new idea it would be worth the price.
