This is one of the most outstanding books for children in crisis. The illustrations are emotionally warm, pleasing and very upbeat. The text is reassuring: even though things may be chaotic in a small child's life (eg. divorce, death, separation), there will be physical circumstances that will not disappoint them--flowers will bloom, as they promised; we will have good food (pie), and there will be hope in the world.
