The book arrived early and was in excellent condition (points for that!). However, I was disappointed to find that I had unknowingly bought the abridged ("edited") version "for younger readers". This had not been specified in the description of the book and I think it *should have been*: I am no longer a "younger reader" and would not have been fazed by what had been cut out (according to a friend, a few strong words and three or four passages which could have been read either as close friendship or as homoeroticism).
