Very original twist which works well, it's hard to pinpoint why this book works, the werewolf in WWii? But R. McCammon has a real skill at making the fantastic seem real. I got hooked on this author after reading 'Stinger' which is another book which shouldn't work but does. If you like to escape but not too much then read this guy's work. I loved this book just like his others. Howling good read.
