Fast on the draw, and a fast and easy read. Excellent story line. Full of all the great western shoot'em up showdowns that we've all come to expect. I highly recommend this. You really can't go wrong with any book by Ralph Compton. He's one of the best.

Historicas Fiction;
This is in my thinking one of the finest series, on the early days in the state of Texas.
in order for this book to really make much sense, one should read it in as a entire series, Namely the Gunfighter trilogy.
Of which this is just one book of a six book series.
Its what is called a "Historical Fiction"

"The Dawn of Fury"
