Stunning little book of 62 of Weegee's stark bleak photos that he took mostly for newspapers. These are little b&w gems of newspaper photojournalism at its best and most bleak quick shots of murder scenes, accidents, crimes and the lower class people of New York City of the 1940's caught unaware by his unflinching eye. One of the great photographers of the mid 20th century and a major influence on generations of photographers. Fine.
