Rather than focusing on a specific chronic, disabling, or developmental condition, the holistic approach allows the user and the nurse to address health pattern disturbances most commonly seen in the rehabilitation client. The third edition of Rehabilitation Nursing has been reorganized into 6 sections, building rehabilitation nursing knowledge in a logical sequence from concepts to implementation, enabling the user to apply theory to practice. The first 2 sections cover concepts, foundations, and management principles essential for client-centered rehabilitation programs. Section 3 focuses on improving client outcomes in clinical applications. Sections 4 and 5 cover rehabilitation nursing across functional health patterns, including sensory and psychosocial patterns.
