L P Holmes has written a story about a fast gun who wants to quit being a fast gun, and just wants to live in peace. But he can't. Society won't let him quit. A lot of people knew him and wanted his fast gun. So, he took the job offered him and found himself embroiled in the worst range war ever, but he wouldn't back out or back down. Of one thing he was sure though: This would be his last gun war, one way or the other. This plot line has been done before, but never to any better story telling than this one. L P Holmes has a way of making every story new and fresh, and this one is no exception. I like "traditional" westerns and this one is one.
