Original publisher's green blind patterned boards lettered gilt at the spine. Limited first edition of 650: this appears to be one of 50 signed copies, printed on French Speckletone recycled paper. Loosely inserted typed Signed Letter to Nancy Bowden, mentioning Pin Mill in Suffolk "Which really is an excellent place for smugglers." Also loosely inserted newspaper clipping 'George Sim' from The Independent's Tuesday Review, November 1999, by Anthony Rota. Fine in close fine d/w with very faint edgewear.
