An out-of-the-ordinary subject with an attention to detail that holds your interest, this mystery features a quality of prose that is fine and true. Unfortunately though, after much build up and weaving of complicated strands across time and place, the plot just fizzles out. Like a tire slowly leaking air, what started out good, ended up flat.
