A friend from Colorado Springs was visiting in our home. "Joe, I've brought you a book." Pam handed me a dog-eared "Oliver Wisnell" by Kenneth Roberts. I found the reading slow and fascinating. This is not a John Grisham novel to be devoured in one evening. The novels of Kenneth Roberts took him years to write and are as meticulously researched as any history book ever. The detail is incredible. I've since bought every book Kenneth Roberts wrote, including "Why I Write," the memoir of his lifetime of writing. I'm not sure I'd want to be related to this man or live next door. He was truly one of a kind. I hope you find out what that means.
