This beautiful account of the influx of Puerto Rican families into NY City during the Fifties is a rare find. It is well researched by Elana Padilla. It includes several pages of stunning black and white Photographs by Michael Ciavolino Jr. At the time he was a teacher in Harlem. Now he has several pictures in the Museum of Modern Art.
